In the MetroWest suburbs it appears the inventory shortage of homes for sale will continue in 2023. So far this year, there have been 25% fewer listings taken than the same time in 2022.
During the fourth quarter of 2022, 753 single family homes were sold with a median sale price of $889,900. This was a 5% increase over 2021.
In 2022, homes in the MetroWest suburbs sold quickest during the second quarter of the year. Sellers accepted offers in an average of only 10 days during this period.
Three homes sold for more than $10Million across MetroWest last year. The most expensive property sold was 18 Walpole Street in Dover, a 21 acre Gentleman's Farm designed by a renowned architect. The impressive 15,000+ square foot home sold for $13,250,000 in May 2022.
