More About Merrimack Valley
The towns surrounding the Merrimack River have given rise to several revolutions. Not only did Concord give rise to the American Revolution in the 1770s, but it was also home to literary and intellectual greats. The river (one of the largest waterways in New England) and canal systems also enabled the development of Lowell as the first planned manufacturing center for textiles that energized New England's economy.
Planned developments have created walkable towns with charming boutiques and restaurants, with single-family homes, luxury apartments and lofts, and even rural offerings to serve residents' needs. The region's easy access to Interstates 495 and 93, and Route 3 make it a beautiful and convenient place to create your own history.
